The Work

Joint Class Series

  • Knee Class

  • Ankle Class

  • Elbow Class

  • Wrist Class

  • Shoulder Class

  • Pelvis Class

Class Structure

Each class is 2 days from 9am-5pm, except the pelvis class, which is 3 days from 9am-5pm.

Class consists of:

An anatomy section: On the first morning, the joint is constructed out of modeling clay.

Technique sections: Once the joint has been constructed and the anatomy understood, the techniques to release and align each muscle are taught and practiced.

Demonstration section: Lynda demonstrates the work on 2 people with problems at that joint.

*Students may provide candidates for the demonstration portion of class at $25 per person.

Techniques

Lynda stresses principle based learning rather than memorization of technique. Understanding the principles of fascial release and mechanical restoration allows you to adapt the technique to any body.

The fascial technique releases each muscle’s fascial envelope, allowing it to glide freely in relationship to every other muscle around it. Mechanical restoration returns misplaced muscles and tendons to their proper position.
